The first official international meeting of the partners involved in the European Oral Health Indicators Project (SPC 2002472) was held in Lyon, France on 4-5 September 2003 at the International Agency for Research on Cancer.
The objective of this meeting was to conduct a systematic review and to outline a process for identifying a set of core indicators for oral health that will help professionals to promote and improve the global oral health promotion, quality of care and surveillance of people in Europe.
The “Consensus Workshops for Selecting Essential Oral Health Indicators” took place in Granada , Spain on 7- 8 May 2004 . The objective of this of the workshop was to proceed to the selection of essential specific and generic oral health indicators at national and regional levels in Europe
The “Second Consensus Workshop for Selecting Essential Oral Health Indicators” was held in Nice , France on 5- 6 november 2004 and during which a first selection of oral health indicators was decided.
The Workshop for Selecting Essential Oral Health Indicators Project closure meeting took place in Paris , France , in the vicinity of the Assemblée Nationale, 17- 18 March 2005. All partners have formally and unanimously chosen 40 indicators out of 100 during this last meeting of EGOHID phase I.
